Current Initiative:
Open the Door to Foundry North Okanagan
CMHA Vernon is leading the development of Foundry North Okanagan, a new integrated centre in downtown Vernon where young people aged 12 to 24, and their families, will be able to access mental health support, substance use services, primary care, peer support, and social services together in one welcoming space.
The 8,000 square foot centre is being built on 29th Avenue, with doors expected to open in 2027. Once open, Foundry North Okanagan will also operate mobile outreach so young people in Armstrong, Enderby, Lumby, Cherryville, and other rural communities can reach care closer to home.
CMHA Vernon is leading the project alongside North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society, Archway Society, the Friendship Centre, and Interior Health.
