Cinema for Social Impact
NonProfit Profile Videos
Sharing the work, the challenges, and what genuine support looks like in practise.
Produced in Partnership with PhreeAgent
In May 2025, CFNO and Purppl hosted a screening of the documentary UnCharitable, rethinking philanthropy and reshaping how we support the vital work of charities in our community. The conversations that followed were honest, energizing, and pointed toward action.
These videos are a direct extension of that evening. Produced by Joe Pinheiro of PhreeAgent, each short film profiles a local nonprofit, sharing their story, their impact, and what it really takes to do this work well. The goal is simple: help funders and donors see these organizations clearly, understand them deeply, and back them with confidence.
The film is based on Dan Pallotta's landmark TED Talk, The Way We Think About Charity Is Dead Wrong, which has been viewed more than 5.5 million times. If you haven't seen the film, the talk is a powerful place to start.
