SilverStar raising community donations for Good Food Box

Halfway to campaign goal of $10k!

Donate to support access to fresh produce and food for students living and learning in the North Okanagan.

The annual Christmas Light Up and opening weekend at SilverStar Mountain Resort raised over half of this year’s charity campaign goal of $10,000. The $5,000 in community donations will be directed to the Good Food Box - School Food Box Program. SilverStar will continue to encourage public donations for this initiative over the winter!

The Good Food Box is a non-profit organization that supports families, seniors and individuals to access healthy fresh groceries and produce when they can’t afford food. This initiative is raising money to offer access to fresh produce and food for students living and learning in the North Okanagan.

Donation Matching Opportunity - turn $1 into $3

The money donated will be matched by both the SilverStar Play Forever Fund and by an anonymous donour with the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan, effectively tripling the donations and putting the Good Food Box on track to meeting its goal of raising $38,000 to feed North Okanagan residents over the next 10 months.

Further information on making donations and the Play Forever Fund can be found here.

-The SilverStar Play Forever Fund was established to provide funding in support of our community successfully navigating challenging times and continuing to thrive for generations to come.
